Located in Longford 10 minutes from Nighty Mile Beach, in the heart of the Gippsland region sits Country Pine Kennels & Cattery. Our facility is built on 21 acres of pristine land and is situated in a beautiful country setting where your pet can enjoy their Doggy Daycare Day.

At Country Pine Kennels Doggy Daycare, we prioritize the unique needs and requirements of each canine guest. Our experienced team is committed to providing personalized care, beginning with a comprehensive assessment of your dog’s suitability on their first visit. This ensures that we fully understand their individual needs and can tailor their daycare experience accordingly.

Our facility operates under strict policies and procedures, maintained by highly skilled staff and certified trainers, to ensure that your dog’s safety and wellbeing are consistently prioritized. For optimal socialisation and enrichment, we recommend that your dog attends daycare at least once a week. This frequency may vary depending on your dog’s energy levels and behavioral needs.

We offer our Doggy Daycare services seven days a week, with the exception of Public Holidays, to accommodate your schedule and your dog’s needs. Trust that your dog’s experience with us will be both safe and enriching, supporting their overall health and happiness.

Our objective is to enhance the social behavior of dogs while ensuring they have an enjoyable experience. When managed effectively, inter-dog socialisation contributes significantly to a dog’s well-being, leading to a more fulfilling day. This process ensures that dogs return home enriched, content, and likely to enjoy a restful sleep.

In addition to our general socialisation programs, we offer specialized care for dogs that may be less outgoing. These dogs might require gradual introductions to other dogs or people, or they might benefit from quieter play sessions with similarly inclined canine companions.

Our daycare services have been successful in fostering confidence and improving social interactions among dogs. However, we recognize that not all dogs thrive in a daycare setting. For unsociable or more reactive dogs, we recommend our Daycare Training programs, which is specifically designed to better meet their needs.

Our services provide two options for Arrival and Departure, which include the use of our Facility and our Convenient and Safe Doggy Daycare Pet Taxi.

After your dog’s fun day, a hydro bath can be an excellent way to prepare them for the journey home. This warm bath not only relaxes your pet but also includes an aromatherapy shampoo and conditioner, offering a soothing massage experience. A thorough brushing follows, and your dog is gently dried with a towel or blow dryer. This process ensures that your pet is calm, refreshed, and pleasantly fragrant, making their trip home more comfortable.

I can't recommend Country Pine Kennels & Cattery in Longford highly enough. I boarded my 5-year-old Maremma for their two-week board-and-train program, and, as an anxious, under-socialised dog, he's always been a tough one to win over. Kevin, Lee and Shaun were patient, calm and genuinely knowledgeable — exactly what a fearful guardian breed needs. They took the time to let him warm up on his own terms rather than rushing him, and we've come home and made real progress, including with visitors he previously struggled with.
The facility itself is beautiful — set on acres of country in the Gippsland region, with secure play areas and clean, comfortable kennels. Being family-run and living on-site, you can tell they truly care about every dog as if it were their own. The departure lesson at pickup gave me practical tools to keep the training going at home, which has made all the difference.
If you're nervous about boarding an anxious dog or looking for dog training that actually understands difficult breeds, this is the place. Thank you, team, at Country Pine Kennels!

We couldn’t be happier with the results! Khaleesi is so much more well-behaved, listens better, and our walks are now truly a joy. The training has made such a wonderful difference to her confidence and overall behaviour.
The team clearly cares deeply about our dogs. We’re so grateful for all their hard work and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for professional dog training! Thank you very much much, Country Pine Team!

Country Pine Kennels is Reggie’s 2nd family and home. For over two years Reggie has been a regular boarder for both long and short periods, always attending puppy day care during his little holidays. He is a regular at the wonderful , imaginative and fun filled parties held for the dogs. He has been on the nature and beach walks offered. The professionalism provided by everyone at CPK is outstanding and I have absolute trust in everything about Reggie’s care while he is there.
He is always very excited when we drive into the front entrance, seeing all the other dogs and knowing there are going to be lots of fun adventures planned and never just being in a dog pen. Thankyou Country Pine Kennels .

FAQ’s

Is it possible for my dog to be boarded with another dog?

Certainly! With the required consent from clients, we can board compatible family dogs from the same household in the same room. Additionally, we offer the option to house dogs from different households together, provided we have client approval and our trained staff have conducted a thorough assessment to ensure compatibility.

During their day, each dog’s behaviour and temperament is carefully evaluated. Your dog will play and socialise with a group of friendly dogs, while also engaging in fun, stimulating activities designed to keep your dog learning and entertained throughout the day.

Regardless of their interactions with other dogs, all dogs receive individual attention and interaction with our staff, ensuring a comfortable and engaging experience during their day.

What if my dog is reactive towards other dogs or people?

Our daycare services have been successful in fostering confidence and improving social interactions among dogs. However, we recognize that not all dogs thrive in a daycare setting. For unsociable or more reactive dogs, we recommend our Daycare Training programs, which is specifically designed to better meet their needs.

Our team comprises experienced Dog Trainers who possess a deep passion for and knowledge of canine behaviour. They are committed to delivering individualized training approaches that cater to the distinct personality and requirements of your dog. Ensuring that each dog receives personalized attention that matches their individual training requirements, whether they are outgoing and energetic, more reserved or reactive.

How often is my dog fed?

If required your dog can receive a meal during their afternoon break. The diet consists of premium dry kibble complemented by chicken or beef meat loaf.

During the booking process and upon arrival, we inquire about any specific feeding requirements or preferences your dog may have. This information is carefully documented in your dog’s confidential record to ensure their dietary needs are consistently met.

Can I bring my dogs own food?

You are welcome to provide your dog’s own food, especially if they have specific dietary needs, are selective eaters, or have health-related dietary restrictions. Our staff are trained in accurately measuring and administering any special feeding requirements your dog may have.

During the booking process and upon arrival, we will inquire about the type of food your dog consumes at home, the feeding frequency, and the reasons for any special dietary needs.

We encourage owners to bring their dog’s own food if it aligns with the pet’s conditions. There is no additional charge for accommodating special feeding instructions. However, we do ask that any pre-cooked meals be pre-portioned and clearly labelled with your dog’s full name prior to your arrival. This ensures that we can store and administer the meals appropriately. For those meals that require refrigeration or freezing, we have the necessary facilities to keep the food fresh and safe for your pet.

Medications or Supplements are an additional cost, per administration.

What if my dog is on medication/s?

Our staff are trained to administer medication and injection medications. To ensure a smooth process, we advise owners to clearly label all medications with their dog’s full name prior to arrival.

During both the booking process and upon arrival, you will be asked to provide detailed information about the medication, including its purpose, this is documented in your pet’s secure record. For medications that need refrigeration, we have a dedicated fridge to maintain proper storage conditions.

Medications or Supplements are an additional cost, per administration.

Do you offer care for senior dogs?

Yes, we love our older guests! We offer tailored care for senior dogs, including quiet areas, gentle enrichment, and regular health monitoring by an experienced dog sitter. Dogs over the age of 11 years will automatically go onto our age care routine at an additional daily cost, per pet.

Can I bring my dog’s belongings?

Every dog is provided with a trampoline bed, cozy bedding, and blankets to make their stay as comfortable as possible. Additionally, dogs can enjoy a variety of toys during their play sessions.

If you prefer to bring your dog’s personal blanket or favourite toy for an anxious dog, please limit it to one item. We kindly request that this item be clearly labelled with your pet’s full name. It is important that these items are easily washable and dryable, as we will clean them if necessary, during your dog’s stay.

Please note that we will not require your dog’s personal lead, collar and /or car harness during their stay. These items will be removed upon arrival and handed back. Remember to bring them for your dog’s Departure process.

Should I bring anything with me when arriving my dog?

Please bring along your dog’s up to date yearly vaccination certificate. Your dog’s Medication/s and /or Special Food/s and any important information on special medications, health concerns, health issues or feeding requirements.

All dog’s need to arrive correctly restrained, so please bring your dog’s lead, collar and /or car harness with you on arrival and departure.

What if my dog has sensitive skin?

Upon your dog’s arrival for their stay, your dog is weighed, and a comprehensive health assessment will be conducted. You will be asked to disclose any existing health or skin concerns, which will be documented in your dog’s secure record.

For dog’s receiving a bath at the conclusion of their visit, we offer specialized products designed for sensitive skin.

If your dog tends to develop skin irritations or hotspots, we kindly request that you provide their specific creams, skin care products, or bathing items for use during their stay. This ensures that we can maintain your dog’s comfort and health effectively.
